Angola Inshore Fishing At Quio Bay And Surrounding Areas: December 2014

Quio Bay, Angola

Video available at: http://youtu.be/I3jrdVV5Z_w

We departed for Angola on the 9th of December 2014 from Divundu on the Okavango river in the north of Namibia entering Angola at the Katwitwi border post traversing the very bad bush road to Menogue. we camped 3 nights on the road before reaching Quio Bay on the 13th of December 2014.

The water was cold at 20-23 C. Inshore fishing was excellent with plenty of Atlantic Sada Sada, Amberjack and yellowfin tuna around. We landed more than 50 Sada Sada one day while fishing for Amberjack. Brilliant on light tackle.

Off-shore fishing was poor. Only landed a couple of Dorado and saw only one Blue Marlin.
